Samsung Galaxy A03 support page

On the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy A03 was spotted with the model number SM-A037F/DS. After new developments recently, the company’s official website contained a support page and this could indicate the launch of the smartphone in the country in the near future. Previously, the smartphone was seen at various other places such as the Federal communications Commissions (FCC), Bluetooth SIG authority and even geekbench.

This Galaxy A03 will be the predecessor to the Galaxy A02 released last year. And reportedly, the phone is set to contain a dual sim slot. In terms of other specifications, the phone will come with a bluetooth 5.0 connection and a single band WiFi b/g/n and WiFi direct as well. Rumour has it that the smartphone is to be powered by the octa-core 2.30 Hz processor. A 4GB RAM is supposed to be paired with 64GB of internal storage.

A 6.5 inch FHD+ display The processor had the codename of ARM MT6765V/WB indicating that it could be a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. The smartphone is also expected to feature a 5000 mAh battery with a TUV Rheinland Certification and 15W fast charging support as well.

It was first spotted on MySmartPrice and is expected to measure 166.6×75.9×9.1. It will probably include a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port according to the reports and leaks revealed in the recent weeks. On the aspect of camera, the reports state that it may be a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary shooter and a 2MP secondary camera. For selfies, it is expected to pack a 5MP front camera.

There has been no official communication from the company’s end in terms of price or even the launch. The Galaxy A03 is expected to be priced at Rs. 10,000. This gives us a good idea as to what to expect from the smartphone and the successor of the A02 if it releases in India in the future.
