The Facebook owned company had tested blue notifications with the previous beta update but the audience did not receive it well. The colour can be seen on WhatsApp notifications, Mark as read and Reply buttons. We won’t be seeing that now after their intention to reverse the decision. The notification color of WhatsApp changed from green to blue a few days ago to refresh the notification design. However, WABetaInfo reported today that the blue notification color has disappeared from the latest new WhatsApp beta for Android.
According to the latest reports, this feature was tested on android users and it didn’t go down well as there were a lot of complaints about it. Some users reported that the new colour was. not showing up properly and some reported that they couldn’t see it clearly due to the colour contrast existing on the dark mode. As usual, the company tested the new feature on the beta version only and decided not to bring it to the stable version of the app due to uncertainties and non-satisfactory results.
Recently WhatsApp had also launched voice call feature to Kai-Os based phones and the Jio phones. This feature makes use of the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology and requires an active connection through data or WiFi.
Earlier, WhatsApp was also testing this Flash Call feature, which would use the person’s phone number and automatically allow users to log into their accounts. The company will make Flash calls for verification purposes instead of a six-digit code. The Flash call feature will not be introduced on iOS and will be optional for Android users.
