Xiaomi announced on Wednesday regarding their plans to launch the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite smartphone in India in the coming week on June 22. The company also confirmed that it will be available for purchase through Flipkart after a dedicated page for the smartphone went live on the e-commerce website. The phone had already made its debut in the China market back in March of this year.
The smartphone is confirmed to be the slimmest and lightest smartphone of the year in 2021. The phone is going to be 6.8mm thick and will weigh a mere 157 grams. Mi 11 Lite will start at a price very similar to its competitors which is rumoured to be around Rs. 21,999. One interesting fact to note here would be that the Mi 11 Lite is only getting a 4G variant in the country while its competitors, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G and iQOO Z3 will be launched with a 5G variant.
The phone features a 6.55 inch display with AMOLED technology, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate and corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Featuring three rear cameras, the smartphone will contain a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro unit. It will also include a 16MP front camera for selfies. It boasts a 4250mAh battery and has 33W charging speed. The mobile would work on the Android 11 OS and MIUI 12 customisation.
In terms of the connectivity, the options you get are 4G, dual band Wi-Fi ac, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS, infrared code and it also includes two sim card slots as well. Other features of the phone include two speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor. It has 2x Kryo 470 Gold CPU cores, 6x Kryo 470 Silver CPU cores, and Adreno 618 GPU. The phone will be available with 8GB of ram and 128GB internal storage.
While it might not be the best smartphone released this year, this being the newest addition to Xiaomi‘s flagship lineup, makes it a reliable option for many people who like their phone to be slim and light. At the end of the day, this smartphone seems like a good bet for the people who are looking for a slim, lightweight device at a reasonable price.
