Xiaomi is still yet to launch its latest Redmi 10 series, and as India being one of its larger markets, can’t wait for the launch. Company recently put out an official tweet saying “Redmi Revolution,” which sort of indicates that they are working on a Redmi project. Xiaomi was also preparing to launch the Redmi 10 approximately with their premium Mi 11 lineup. The Mi 11 was already launched on 23rd April but there is still no clarity on the Redmi 10 series.

This new tweet by the Twitter account of official Redmi India hints at the upcoming Redmi 10 series by Xiaomi. The tweet has made subtle indications that lead us to believe that they are going to launch the Redmi 10 series soon, as the wordings and the hashtags used in the tweet are quite indicative. Digging deeper into the specific words from the tweet that indicate Redmi 10 series, is the hashtag that the tweet uses, which is “#10on10.” This “#10on10” coupled with the “Redmi Revolution” roughly hints at the launch of the Redmi 10 series. Other than that, the tweet by Redmi India also tweeted that this will be “hitting your screens soon!” Soon, which hints at a launch/reveal date which is close to us in the calendar.

The Redmi 9 series offered five models for purchase during its launch: Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, Redmi 9i, Redmi 9 Prime, and Redmi 9 Power. It is assumed that the Redmi 10 series will only consist of four models instead of the five with its upcoming launch. However, Xiaomi has not confirmed which models will be introduced as of yet. We can also expect the Redmi 10 lineup to run Android 11; however, there are no official details.

Specifications Highlights

  • Equipped with minimum 4GB RAM
  • Triple rear cameras – 48MP + 8MP + 2MP
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processors
  • 64GB Internal memory
  • 5900mAh Battery

These specifications indicate a very packed phone for an estimated price of Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000. These specifications are rumored as there are no specific model related specifications revealed yet. All of the further details are expected to be released by Xiaomi during launch.

It is also rumored that the Redmi 10 may borrow the Evol Design which is Xiaomi’s way of promoting evolutionary design. This Evol design as used in Redmi Note 10, includes a sharp and smart looking phone, which is bezel less and has a very aesthetic appeal to it.

Another thing that can be guessed easily is the price range of the Redmi 10 series, which may fall somewhere around Rs.10,000 or Rs.15,000, as the Redmi 10 is a budget smartphone and will be replacing their previous Redmi 9 line-up.

Nevertheless, the Redmi 10 series can be a strong contender in the budget smartphone segment and give Xiaomi dominance over the market share with the price range of the new models and the loaded specifications that it offers with its price.
