Chinese multinational electronics company Xiaomi is all set to release its second foldable phone likely to be known as Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2 as per multiple reports. The company had launched its first foldable Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold phone earlier in March this year which is available only in two countries yet – China and Vietnam. Therefore it is expected that the new foldable tablet will make a global debut later this year and will have some additional features than the previous model.
The price of this new device is rumoured to be Rs. 111,790 and there are speculations that there may be a delay in the global launch because of the prevalent shortage of the processor chipset in the market and this may hinder the production at a global scale.
Some tipsters have also leaked information regarding the device on the Chinese micro-blogging website ‘Weibo’ according to the reports by MyFixGuide and MySmartPrice. As per the details provided in the leaks the new foldable tablet will be a successor to the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold and will feature a foldable screen on the front which can be folded inward similar to that of the previous foldable phone and will feature a regular configuration as far as the screen is concerned.
Other details reveal that the Mi Mix Fold 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC processor and will likely feature a higher refresh rate of 120 Hz on the inside. The new tablet will house a 5000mAh battery.
The device is likely to feature a triple camera setup at the rear as far as the optics are concerned consisting of 108 MP primary camera sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor and a telephoto macro camera sensor of 8MP that will have a 3x zoom as well. It will reportedly sport an under-display selfie camera too.
It is to be noted that the Xiaomi still hasn’t revealed any information officially about this rumoured tablet but with all the claims and leaks in place we can expect that there is some substance in all the information leaked so far. It is likely that the company will release some information regarding the device in the near future.
